Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC)

An interagency body of the US government that includes the Federal Reserve Board of Governors (FRB), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Key Facts
The FFIEC has the authority to “prescribe uniform principles, standards, and report forms to promote uniformity in the supervision of financial institutions.”
